RFP - Land Use Attorney

Buncombe County seeks services for a land use attorney on an as-needed basis. Due to the County’s proximity to the City of Asheville and natural beauty and resources, Buncombe County continues to urbanize and attract new residents from across the country. In FY2023, the Board of Commissioners voted to adopt a new comprehensive plan that guides the vision for growth in the county. Implementation of the plan requires legal analysis and review of potential text amendments and their compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Additional needed services could include representation of staff for appeals to the BOA, multi-departmental code enforcement cases, and general land use counsel.
