MCL Construction has been recently awarded the contract for UNK Calvin T. Ryan Library project. In conjunction with the construction team, DLR, and the University of Nebraska Kearney, MCL is inviting your firm to provide a proposal for the Bid Package #2 – GMP Set-Major Trades scope based on the information outlined below. It is MCL’s intent to select the most qualified partner who will best fit the project team. Your proposal should include a
Complete
package to meet the intended design as outlined below and depicted in the drawings, specifications, and all supplemental documents provided. Please clarify any assumptions that you make while preparing your proposal. Your company will be contractually tied to your bid amount barring any major scope changes. This project is tax-exempt and will require a supply bond.
MCL Construction intends to receive proposals and award contracts based DLR’s Bid Package #2 – GMP Set dated October 27
th
2022 for the following scope of work:

Door, Frames & Hardware 0811113 & 081416
Fire Suppression-RFP’s GMP Division 21(all)
Mechanical-RFP’s GMP Division 22 & 23
Electrical-RFP’s GMP Division 26, 27 & 28
Requirements for Major Trade RFP’s are outlined in attached 3.1 Major Trade RFP Letter for respective scope of works. MCL is finalizing BP #1 Early Equipment for AHU’s, Switchgear, Transformer & Generator. This information will be provided as soon as available for coordination and inclusion for Major Trade GMP proposals. All warranties, shipping details, shipping dates, unloading and controls information for equipment will be assigned and awarded Major trade need to be transferred to them.
The rest of the scopes of work will be released for bidding when we receive the final construction documents. In the meantime, MCL would greatly appreciate budget proposals from all other scopes not listed above.
