Notice To Bidders
The Town of Colonie (“Town”) invites bids for the following:
ITB Storm Water Drainage HWY 2024 KB130 130001-121
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing, Memorial Town Hall, Latham,
NY 12110 until 5/10/2024 11.00 AM local time. At that time and place all bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud.
All bidders shall comply with the N.Y. Gen. Mun. Law §103.
Beginning on 4/24/2024, the solicitation documents for this matter will be on file and
publicly exhibited at the Office of Purchasing, 534 New Loudon Road, Memorial Town Hall,
Latham, NY 12110. Copies of said documents may be obtained at that address. Complete bid
documents may also be available for download from the Empire State Purchasing Group’s web
site at http://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york.
Each submitted proposal must be accompanied by (a) a certified check in the sum of 5% of the
amount of the bid, drawn upon a national or state bank or trust company, to the order of the
Town of Colonie, New York, or (b) a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to 5% of
the bid, conditioned that if its bid is accepted, successful bidder will enter into a contract for the
same and that he will execute such further security as may be required for the performance of
the contract. A separate performance bond, or its equivalent, equal to 100% of the contract
amount will be required of the successful bidder; the bond shall be satisfactory to the Town of
Colonie. A separate payment bond, or its equivalent, equal to 100% of the contract amount will
be required of the successful bidder; the bond shall be satisfactory to the Town.
The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall within seven days after the date
of notification of the acceptance of its proposal, provide insurance and security as required by
the contract in a form acceptable by the Town. In case of its failure to do so, or in case of its
failure to give further security as herein prescribed, the bidder will be considered as having
abandoned the same, and the certified check or other bid security accompanying its proposal
shall be forfeited to the Town.
The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids submitted.
