ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Gatlinburg at Gatlinburg City Hall, 1230 East

Parkway, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, 37738, for the Trout Rearing Facility Raceway

Replacement, until 2:30 P.M., L.P.T., March 7, 2024, at which time the bids received

will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The total base bid price for the contract shall include the costs for furnishing labor and

materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for

Bidders, Form of Proposal, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, and

Plans and Detail Specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group.

The work to be bid upon is described as follows, but not limited to:

Selective demolition of the existing raceways and construction of new raceways, a new

shelter, piping, electrical work and other construction as indicated on the Drawings and

Project Manual prepared by Chapman Technical Group, dated February 2024.

Construction time limit is 180 calendar days.

Plans and Specifications may be obtained by each Bidder from the office of Chapman

Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, telephone (304)

727-5501, upon payment of a $100.00 non-refundable deposit. Purchase is also available

at www.chaptech.com. PDF sets are available, but Bidders are required to obtain at least

one hard-copy set of the Drawings and Project Manual from Chapman Technical Group.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount

of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instruction to bidders.

All prospective Bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held at the

Project Site at Herbert Holt Park, 151 North Park Lane, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, 37738 on

February 22, at 10:30 A.M., L.P.T., for the purpose of discussing the project and touring

the project site.

All bidders are required to have a Tennessee Contractor’s License. The City reserves the

right to reject any and all bids. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days

after the time of the opening of the Bids.
