Bid Name: Aerial Spraying

Open Date - Close Date: 2/28/2023 to 3/28/2023

Awarded Vendor:

Description: Utah County intends to select a contractor to provide aerial (rotary wing) application of aquatic Glyphosate, non-ionic surfactant and water mixture at 5 gallons per acre along the Utah Lake Shoreline. The intent is to select one contractor to complete selected projects over the next three-year period as constraints allow and funding becomes available. The County will be responsible to provide the herbicide, the surfactant, and access to clean water. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the terms hereof. The goal of this project is to eradicate or at least control Phragmites (Common Reed) long the Utah Lake Shoreline. Utah County wants our aerial contractor to have the same goal. This contract will be for the spot treatment of phragmites in a 9,918-acre project area annually. This will likely result in reduced acreage to be treated year after year but the project area will remain the same. For this reason, the contractor may bid a minimum charge for applying chemical spot treatment to Phragmites along the entire shoreline annually. If costs for treatment acreage exceeds the minimum annual charge, then only the treatment acreage shall be paid. If treatment acreage within a year does not exceed the minimum annual charge, then only the minimum charge will be paid.
