This purpose of this work request is to initiate a new regional water access management planning process in the department’s North Puget Sound - Region 4, which encompasses King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, Island, and San Juan counties. Planning will address WDFW- managed lands that provide public access to state waters, and which are among the most heavily used recreation lands managed by WDFW, collectively receiving 12 million visits annually.
