Addendum Number One to Bid S-5-23 for the 15th Street Ornamental

Security Fencing and Gates

The changes, clarifications, omissions, additions, and/or alterations in, on, and to the bid

information and specifications shall apply to the Invitation For Bid submitted for and to the project

indicated above. Except as modified by this Addendum Number One, all of the terms and

provisions of the Invitation for Bid for the above listed project remain in full force and effect. This

Addendum Number One supersedes all previous instructions pertaining to the items listed:

BID UPDATES:

BU1: The City is currently in the process of coordination with the Union Pacific Railroad

(UPRR), to evaluate what requirements will be necessary for the completion of this project.

Until final project requirements & review of the project is completed by the Union Pacific

Railroad, the Bid Due Date will be POSTPONED until clarification is published.

BU2: Addendum Two will contain a new Question Submission Deadline, Addendum Response

Deadline, and Bid Due Date.

BU3: The City does not have an expected timeline, for the release of Addendum Two. UPRR

may take longer than a month to review.

CLARIFICATIONS

C1: The sign in sheet from the Pre-Bid Meeting is attached to this Addendum One.

QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES:

Q1: Please confirm the final fence alignment for the project so final pricing can be determined.

A1: This will be addressed via Addendum Two.

Q2: Is railroad insurance required for this project? Is flagging and coordination needed with

U.P. to perform this work?

A2: This will be addressed via Addendum Two.

Q3: Are the average number of trains known per day on along this rail line?

A3: This will be addressed via Addendum Two.

Q4: Regarding the gates, can they be pre-manufactured by Ameristar and modified to include

a panic bar and screen?

A4: This will be addressed via Addendum Two.

Q5: Can existing fence posts be cut to grade so they do not damage the existing asphalt?

A5: This will be addressed via Addendum Two.
