These projects are based on direction provided in previous design and planning documents including Streets Illustrated , the City of Seattle Standard Plans for Municipal Construction , and in the forthcoming Seattle Transportation Plan . The consultant teams will also be familiar with facilitating design standards between the City of Seattle, King County Metro, and the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Individual scopes of work will be determined by the city based on planning, priority and budget and negotiated with the consultant. Those individual scopes of work are issued in a Work Assignment against the on-call contract. Each Work Assignment will clearly outline the Consultant’s services, fee and schedule for completion. In general, the services will include supporting SDOT with expanding and improving Seattle’s transit network through the development of transit capital programs and projects by providing skills, tools, and expertise on an ongoing and flexible basis during planning, project definition and design phases.

The City anticipates awarding up to three contracts for an initial contract amount of $500,000 each, and may be increased or decreased at SDOT’s discretion, and duration of 5 years. The initial contract value may be increased in varying contract dollar amounts. The services will be performed in a series of Work Authorizations.
