TO ALL BIDDERS OF RECORD:
This Addendum consists of 2 pages.
Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by entering its number and date on the Proposal Form.
This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies them as follows:
Items:
1. I have 20 years of experience in the energy services industry, and I have completed many
projects with Efficiency Vermont on large scale enterprise-wide ECM projects. I have
conducted projects which include ASHREA Level II equivalent surveys/audits. I have
also provided hundreds of SOW, BOM, and ROI documents for my clients. I have
successfully executed hundreds of energy retrofit projects with elements in lighting,
controls, HVAC, refrigeration, and air barrier/thermal envelope. John Turner has recently
hired me to develop a Sustainability and Energy group for John Turner Consulting. JTC
does not have a long standing track record in the energy services industry but I do. JTC
does not meet the listed requirements below as a company, but I bring this experience
with me as an individual. Would you consider taking an RFP from JTC if I can provide
the required documentation as an individual?
o 2.1. Bidding Contractor Requirements
o 2.1.1. Proposing Contractor shall have been in the business of performing energy
audits on commercial and residential buildings for at least three (3) years.
Completion of blower door envelope testing as part of energy audits may be used.
This shall be verifiable with information as provided by Contractor per Section 4
below.
o 2.1.2. Proposing Contractors shall have successfully completed 15 ASHRAE
Level II or equivalent building assessments including blower door building
envelope testing. These types of assessments may have been performed on
commercial buildings or residential buildings in Vermont or a similar climate in
which some or all the proposed ECMs were implemented.
Answer: Yes, we will accept the bid.
2. Will the contractor performing the assessment be eligible to implement the ECMs
identified if the municipality decides to move forward?
Answer: This would be up to the Municipality issuing the competitive bid.
3. If so, would that require an additional procurement process or could the municipality
contract directly with the contractor that performed the assessment?
Answer: Municipalities will conduct independent RFP processes
4. Are we required to fill-in the audit price ($/sf) for all building sizes (Ref A1)?
Answer: Yes, if they are the same please indicate so by filling in with the same value.
