Spectral Domain Optical coherence tomography system.
Noninvasive, high-resolution optical imaging technology that creates cross-sectional images (mesoscale), specific for biofilm research from Thorlabs

The requested OCT system comes with a scan lens that focuses the OCT beam on the sample. This systems has been reportedly used for the study of biofilms and has specific features that are not offered by other manufacturers, including: (i) spacers that allow researchers to dip the scanner in water and avoid artifacts from a moving water surface, (ii) extension of the reference arm for imaging through glass or polymethyl metharcrylate (e.g., in flow cells).
