1. Do you have an architectural drawing for the wing of the school property that needs
the work?
Yes. See the Procurement website for drawings.
2. Just want to confirm that no work is to be priced for the floor replacement or
repair?
No. Any unforeseen floor replacement or repair will be addressed during the project
assessment while work is being completed.
3. Who will be responsible for moving the furniture out of the rooms & repair area?
The Contractor will be responsible for this.
4. Is there a floor plan?
Yes. See the Procurement website for floor plan.
5. Do the existing walls contain asbestos? If so, who's responsible for abating it?
We (MSCS) will have an Asbestos Report prepared. If any Asbestos is found the
contractor will be responsible for the removal of it. MSCS will post the Asbestos
report as an addendum this week so the contractor(s) can properly prepare their bid.
6. Who's responsible for cleaning the current dust and debris before construction
began?
The Contractor will be responsible for this.
7. Who's responsible for furniture removal and put back?
The Contractor will be responsible for this.
8. Is the contractor to replace sheetrock behind the cabinets? If so, who's responsible
for removal and reinstallation of cabinets and related plumbing?
Demo and replacement of drywall 1 ft up at the floor of the 1st floor walls, wall base,
and painting of disturbed areas. The contractor will be responsible for the removal
of cabinets and placed back in place as they were.
9. Who's responsible for removing and reinstalling electrical outlets and low voltage
within the 1ft of drywall replacement?
The Contractor will be responsible for this.
10. Are we to paint walls from floor to ceiling or 1ft up at the floor? If only 1ft, we can
match existing paint color but there'll still be a noticeable line between the new and
old paint.
1ft up from floor as previously noted.
Slight differences between new and old paint is not a major issue.
11. Are we to install a 4” or 6" wall base?
Match the existing wall base thats currently there.
12. Will there be a plan released for the project?
See response for #1 and #4.
13. Is the site available at any time for inspection?
Yes, please contact the school and request the principal to escort you around.
14. There is possibly mold and asbestos remediation. When will the survey of such be
provided for our pricing efforts?
MSCS is in the process of having the testing done for Mold and Asbestos. The report
will be posted this week.
15. Please confirm the start date of project.
The work shall begin after issuance of the
“Notice to Proceed. Estimated start time is 04/01/2024. Substantial completion date
is projected at 10/24/2024. Final completion date is projected at 11/22/2024.
16. Can you confirm that the scope is to only remove and replace 1' of drywall up at the
floor, remove and replace wall base, and paint disturbed areas? No other building
components or remediation is included.
Only remove the drywall and insulation up to 1 foot and see all responses to
questions for this bid.
17. Can we get a drawing that shows the area that we are to remove drywall?

18. Can we get a copy of the asbestos report?
MSCS is in the process of having the testing done for Asbestos and will post the
report this week.
19. Are any of the walls being repaired fire rated? If so, can we get the fire rating for
each wall?
Please contact the school Principal for an additional walk-through. Replace all
walls like for like to meet current fire rating if walls are fire rated.

20. In areas that have ceramic flooring and ceramic wall base, does the ceramic wall
base and drywall need to be removed?
Yes, please remove the ceramic wall base and drywall and replace like for like.
21. If the wall has insulation, does that need to be replaced?
Yes, please replace it up to 1 foot from the floor.
22. Can we submit qualifications with our bids?
Please see bid on Procurement website and submit all required documents.
