Region 5/7E Long Range Transportation Plans
Brief Description: MnDOT requests letters of interest to develop Long-Range Transportation Plans (LRTP’s) for Region 5 and 7E. MnDOT District 3 will be the fiscal agent and overall project manager for the LRTP project, while each Region’s Transportation Planner will provide agency management of PMT and TAC meetings. The goal of this project is to establish a transportation vision and corresponding set of transportation goals, objectives, strategies, and actions for each region to achieve. Proposed plans would consider or integrate state, regional, and local plans; identify transportation needs and solutions with emphasis on federal aid eligible routes; and provide for coordination with planned District trunk highway investments. LRTP’s will aid in identification prioritization of transportation investments within the Central MN Area Transportation Partnership's programming area.
