Brief Description: Contractor will develop and execute a communications & outreach plan for informing community residents, businesses, motorists, and other stakeholders about a bridge repair project. The repair work will be conducted on the Dartmouth Bridge and four other bridges along Interstate 94 between East River Parkway and I-35W in Minneapolis. The construction largely consists of bridge preservation which includes repairing bridge decks, resurfacing bridge pavement, removing, and replacing bridge joints, updating guardrails, upgrading drainage, and constructing temporary crossovers. The goal to create better awareness of this critical bridge repair work by communicating before and during construction about the traffic impacts and delays. Communication will occur in a timely manner to all audiences, promoting the use of 511mn.org, the website for accurate up-to-the-minute information and help ease congestion by educating motorists about alternative modes of travel, flexible schedules, transit, and carpooling options.
