Proposals will be opened and read aloud at the 2nd Floor Conference Room, 240 Constitution Blvd.
Dallas, Georgia 30132 shortly after the 2:00 PM cut off. Bids received after the designated time will not
be considered.
The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows:
The project is located at 2883 Old Cartersville Road, Dallas, GA 30132. The scope consists of a
new 4,961 square foot, double bay fire station with dormitory, kitchen, offices, and day room.
Framing is constructed with load bearing masonry and wood stud framing with brick veneer.
Windows and bay doors are aluminum. Interior frames are hollow metal with solid core doors.
Roof framing consists of pre- engineered wood trusses and a low slope metal roof system. Project
is inclusive of all grading and site work.
Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same.
Bidding Documents are available for review by prospective Bidders at the Paulding County Finance
Department located at 240 Constitution Blvd, Dallas, Georgia 30132, 2nd floor, Telephone
Number: (770) 443-7512. Bidding Documents are available for review and purchase by the prospective
Bidders at Croft & Associates Architecture at 3380 Blue Springs Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144,
Telephone Number (770) 529-7714.
Bidding Documents may be obtained upon payment of $100.00, non-refundable.
The time allowed for Completion is 240 days from the date of notice to proceed.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the
owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the
OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the
contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or cash in equal amount.
The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed
Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to
the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement.
Surety and insurance companies must have an A.M. Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal
Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be
licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the
State of Georgia.
All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER
may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date.
Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the OWNER. Each sealed
envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, “Paulding County Board of
Commissioners, Attn. Tara Goldin Fire Station No. 13 - Bid Number: 24023-3402”. If the bid is
forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing
envelope to the attention of the OWNER at the address previously given.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid conference will be held via Zoom, Teams, or at the Watson Government
Complex 2nd Floor Commissioners Conference Room, 240 Constitution Boulevard, Dallas, GA 30132 on
February 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM EST.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
