SHELLY #1 TIMBER SALE

This sale is an unmarked fourth-row logger select thinning of 23-year-old slash pine on approximately 121 acres. The purchaser will leave 40-50 square feet of Basal Area per acre of the largest, best formed trees in the residual stand. The logging slash will be scattered back through the stand. Long skid distances may be necessary due to the area’s natural hydrologic conditions. The DISTRICT PROJECT MANAGER will routinely assess the timber harvest to ensure the objectives are being met.
