NOTICE INVITING BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Fontana Unified School District,
hereinafter referred to as “DISTRICT”, is calling for and will receive up to, but not later than 2:00
p.m. of the 23rd day of October 2023, sealed bids for the award of a contract for: BID NO. 23/24-
1658, PROCESSED COMMODITY AND COMMERCIAL, FROZEN,
REFRIGERATED AND DRY FOODS.
All bids shall be made and presented on the forms presented by the Fontana Unified School
District. Bids are due no later than 2:00 p.m. on October 23, 2023, at Fontana Unified School
District, Purchasing Department, 9680 Citrus Avenue, Building #30, Fontana, CA 92335. Any
bids received after the time specified or after any extensions due to material changes shall be
returned unopened. Bids received electronically will NOT be accepted.
The Bid Opening will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. In order to provide adequate time for all
prospective bidders to log-in, bids will be opened publicly and read aloud promptly at 2:30 p.m.
on October 23, 2023, via Microsoft Teams. All bidders interested in attending the bid opening via
Microsoft Teams must email Monique Farrugia, Buyer, at bidinquiries@fusd.net by 2:00 p.m. on
October 20, 2023, to receive the link to the bid opening. Emails received after 2:00 p.m. on
October 20, 2023 will not be accepted and bidder will not be permitted to participate in the bid
opening.
Specifications for the material and/or services required, and the bid form on which the proposal
must be submitted, are available and downloadable on the Fontana Unified School District’s
website at https://www.fusd.net/bids. All notifications, updates and addenda will be posted on the
District’s website. Bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the website to obtain information
regarding any revisions for this solicitation. Failure to respond to required updates may result in a
determination of a nonresponsive bid. No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of sixty (60)
calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids.
All requests for information/clarifications (RFI) must be submitted, in writing, to Monique
Farrugia, Buyer, via email at bidinquiries@fusd.net and received no later than 12:00 p.m. on
October 16, 2023. Please direct all correspondence with the subject line, “Bid No. 23/24-1658
Processed Commodity and Commercial, Frozen, Refrigerated and Dry Foods”. No other questions
or requests for information will be accepted after this date and time.
The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities or
informalities in any bid or in the bidding; and to accept or reject any items thereon.
