Description:

Sealed bids for the CITY HALL BUILDING REHABILITATION Project in the City of Quincy, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 AM local time, Wednesday, March 13, 2024 and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.
The project consists of replacement of the building roof and select HVAC equipment; masonry repairs; modification of select office space; replacement of flooring; interior painting; and associated building mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
Plans and specifications are available online at www.quincyil.gov/bids and may be examined at the office of the Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301.
All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.
The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.

Bidders are notified that no less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.
