|Statement of Work||
The work to be performed consists of weighing, hauling, and proper disposing of the Sludge generated at the Santa Clara Valley Water District's (Valley Water) Rinconada, Penitencia, and Santa Teresa Water Treatment Plants at permitted disposal facilities provided by the Contractor.
Pursuant to Sections 1770, 1771 and 1774 of the California Labor Code, contractor shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the State of California Department of Industrial Relations.
1. Workers employed on various district projects must be paid at rates at least equal to the prevailing wage rates as determined by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to ¡×1770 of the Labor Code. Said wage rates are incorporated herein by reference and may be inspected upon request. The rates are also available on the State of California Department of Industrial Relations website at http://www.dir.ca.gov/. See Standard Provisions Articles 6.04 through 6.06 for related requirements.
2. This Contract is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations. The Contractor and subcontractors must furnish the records specified in Section 1776 directly to the Labor Commissioner monthly, in a format prescribed by the Labor Commissioner.
3. Contractor and each approved subcontractor shall keep accurate payroll records and comply in all respects with Labor Code Section 1776, including the timely response to written notices requiring copies of such records. In the event contractor or any subcontractor fails to comply within the ten (10) day period, that bidder or subcontractor shall forfeit one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each calendar day, or portion thereof, for each worker until strict compliance is effectuated.
