Architecture Plus Project No.: 24-16
The Shirley School District will accept sealed General Contractor Proposal (Bids) Packages for the Paving Upgrades at Shirley Schools, Shirley, Arkansas. Proposal / Bid Packages shall be submitted to Shirley School District Administration Building / Superintendent’s Office, 199 School Drive. Shirley, AR, no later than 1:00PM, Local Time on April 26, 2024. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Interested parties are invited to attend.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held Friday, April 19, 2024; 12:00PM, starting at the High School Gym at Shirley School District.
Each individual Proposal / Bid Package shall be clearly identified with Contractor’s name, address, and phone number;
The Owner, unless designated to another entity, supervises the bidding and awarding of all construction contracts, approves contracts, change orders and requests for payment.
Contract documents may be examined at the office of the Architect, the Owner, or the plan room listed below. Contractors shall not get contract documents from any source other than the Architect’s Office.
A complete electronic set of contract documents may be obtained from the office of the Architect by emailing Rachelle Riddle at rriddle@archplusinc.net , and requesting such. The Architect will not be issuing paper copies of the Contract Documents.
Obtaining contract documents through any source other than the Architect listed above, is not allowed, nor advisable due to the risks of receiving incomplete or inaccurate information. The documents obtained through the Architect are considered the official version and take precedence if any discrepancies occur.
Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid.
The successful bidder, shall provide a performance and payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. This bond must be filed in the county where the work is being performed before authorization to proceed is granted.
Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-203, the District encourages all small, minority and women business enterprises to submit bids.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the bid date.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any formalities / irregularity in the bids, reject any and all bids, and to accept bid(s) which are in their best interest.
