NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR DESIGN PROFESSIONAL
ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS
ARKANSAS SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED (ASB)
AND ARKANSAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF (ASD)
IN LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS

Arkansas Department of Education is soliciting responses from qualified consultants to provide basic professional Architectural & Engineering design services as defined by the TSS/Division of Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria (MSC) for Campus Improvements – Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and Arkansas School for the Deaf located at the ASB/ASD Campuses in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Arkansas Department of Education is seeking a qualified firm to provide professional Architectural & Engineering Design Services to produce plans, specifications, and construction administration services for Campus Upgrades to the campuses of the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Arkansas School for the Deaf. A study of the campuses was performed in 2021 to identify the greatest needs across the campuses, followed by a master plan performed in 2023-2024. The Campus Upgrades will be made up of multiple projects across different buildings/sites on the campuses. The projects will include, but are not limited to, new construction, site accessibility upgrades, site utility upgrades, building accessibility upgrades, architectural repairs/upgrades, MEP repairs/upgrades, and structural repairs/upgrades. The agency reserves the right to award one or more contracts under this solicitation if deemed in the best interest of the State.
A detailed request for qualifications (RFQ) package will be provided to interested parties outlining the submittal requirements and selection methodology. Responses received for this RFQ will be used to screen prospective consultants and select finalists for interviews in accordance with the MSC. The Agency reserves the right to award one or more contracts under this solicitation and to negotiate fees on a percentage basis, lump sum basis, or an hourly not-to-exceed basis on individual project assignments as appropriate for the contemplated work.
The deadline for submitting detailed responses to this RFQ will be April 9, 2024.
