RFD#2 Site Renovations & Improvements Project

The Rotterdam Fire District #2 is receiving General Construction bids on the above referenced construction project for its 1400 Curry Road, Schenectady, NY 12306 facility/property. The overall project will encompass (but not be limited to) the installation of 43,000+/-sf final asphalt top coat to its existing access roads and parking lots; full-depth asphalt (or concrete) driveway reconstruction; existing concrete sidewalk demolition/reconstruction; new concrete sidewalks; interior building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction; new 2,888sf (2)-story wood-framed storage garage superstructure; new 182sf (2)-story CMU bailout structure (including concrete foundations/slab) attached to the new storage garage; new 3,190sf wood-framed pavilion superstructure with 660sf existing CMU-enclosed kitchen, restrooms, and storage/utility room areas; building finishes, doors, windows, hardware, etc.; dumpster and perimeter fencing; exterior building lighting; and miscellaneous grading/landscaping. In accordance with Wicks Law, this General Construction bid is (1)-one part of (4)-four separate bid package opportunities for this project consisting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general construction. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction contracts previously awarded.

Electronic Bid Packages for this project’s General Construction will be available for distribution to interested parties starting April 2, 2024. General Construction Bids are due by 5:00pm (EST) on April 26, 2024 and should be prepared/submitted in accordance with the instructions provided within Section 00100 – Instruction to Bidders section of the electronic documents. Be advised, to submit an official General Construction Bid, bidder must have attended one of two mandatory on-site Pre-Bid Meetings scheduled for 10:00am on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 or 2:00pm on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
