Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Statewide
Description:

The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH or “Office” herein after) announces the availability of funds for the procurement of new Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) teams throughout New York State.

The HBCI team serves children/youth ages 5 to 20 years, 11 months who are at imminent risk of psychiatric hospitalization or admission to a group treatment program, or who are at risk for a rapid readmit to such settings. HBCI teams deliver intensive crisis intervention to children and families to help maintain the child/youth in the home, school, and community. HBCI ensures the child and their family have the level of support services and access to clinical professionals they require to sustain any gains made in crisis response or high-end services.

Eleven (11) awards will be available statewide, in each of the eight (8) OMH economic development regions as outlined below. If applicants are applying for more than one team, applicants must submit a separate proposal for each team for which they are applying. Applicants may propose to serve more than one county with one HBCI program. If applying for more than one county, please provide justification for the size of the catchment area and obtain Letters of Support from each county’s LGU.

All applicants must be Prequalified by the due date/time of the RFP.

All applications/proposals must be submitted through the Grants Gateway.
