2024 Water Main Lining and Lead Service Line Replacement, Grant #19663

The scope of work includes water main rehabilitation to approximately 5.5 miles of water main by mechanically cleaning the interior of 8", 6", and 4" water mains and applying a lining of cement mortar to the interior of the water mains. Bypass pipe is required to provide temporary water service to affected residents and also for providing fire protection water during the duration of the water main rehabilitation.

Project also includes replacement of ~750 lead, lead-lined, or galvanized water services from the water main to the curb valve with new polyethylene of copper water services. Work includes a new water main tap with tapping saddle and abandonment of the existing water service. The project will include replacement of the lead containing inside service from the curb stop to the water meter when both the inside and outside service material identified as lead containing.

Project includes replacement of some fire hydrants and some water main valves.
