INVITATION TO BID

Sealed proposals will be received in the Cumberland County Schools’ Plant Operations

Center, 810 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC 28306 until Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, at

11:00am. At which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the Ponderosa

Elementary School HVAC and Window Replacement. The general scope of work will

consist of replacing HVAC and windows in various locations throughout the school as

specified within the construction documents. This will include all required electrical upgrades

and accessories necessary to complete this project.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 14th,

2024. Contractors interested in bidding shall meet at Ponderosa Elementary School, 311

Bonanza Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28303. The Designer will issue complete Bid Documents

electronically. Contact Locklear, Locklear & Jacobs, PLLC PO Box 3119 Pembroke, North

Carolina 28372, for complete bidding requirements.

Bid Bond is required, and Performance and Payment Bonds will be required.

Certain MBE guidelines must be followed.

Single prime bids will be accepted in accordance with G.S. 143-128.

Requirements for bidding this project are as follows:

1. Three references from previously satisfied public-school customers of similar size, scope &

timeframe.

2. Furnish NC License Number (G.S. Chapter 87 establishes licensing requirements for

general, plumbing, heating, electrical, and refrigeration contractors for construction projects

costing $30,000 or more).

3. Insurance - The Contractor shall provide, as required by law, insurance for his employees.

The Cumberland County Schools assumes no liability for injuries or accidents related to the

Contractual Agreement. The Contractor shall furnish a certificate to the Owner (Cumberland

County Schools) as Proof of Coverage. The Contractor shall maintain and pay the Insurance

Coverage, which shall not be less than the following:
