Question
Will the city consider creating a bid item for the inlet tops to be removed and replace on existing inlets, in the areas that new street paving is required? The road would have to be built based on the existing inlet tops to meet elevations. If there are any changes to the roads elevations the existing inlet top will not work. It is always best to build the inlet top and throat based off the new pavement.

Inlet tops are being removed and replaced. Plans revised as per Addendum #1.

Question
All the trees on the project are being removed. Why are the crape myrtles being salvaged? Can a remove and replace item be created? With the ground being disturbed all around the cape myrtles along with a temporary detour being built very close to the cape myrtles, this will cause a lot of stress on the cape myrtles resulting in them not serving.
Answer
Hand pours shall be applied when the need to protect existing features arises. Crepe myrtles should be salvaged.
