Sealed Bids for the following project are sought:

Gregory Street Resurfacing

General Project Description: This project consists of furnishing all work necessary for the completion of milling and hot mix asphalt overlay, along with necessary incidentals, on Gregory Street in the Town of Normal, Illinois. The proposed improvement consists of the following approximate quantities: 27 CY Earth Excavation; 100 SY Aggregate Base Course, Type B, 6”; 9,840 SY Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Removal; 78 SY Portland Cement Concrete Surface Removal; 284 SY Class D Patch, 8”; 6,895 pounds Bituminous Materials (Tack Coat); 5,106 feet Longitudinal Joint Sealant; 417 tons Polymerized HMA Binder Course, IL-4.75, N50; 992 tons Polymerized HMA Surface Course, SMA, 9.5, Mix E, N80; 1,873 SF Sidewalk Removal; 2,586 SF PCC Sidewalk, 6”; 192 SF Detectable Warnings; 415 feet Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, Removal and Replacement, Special; adjustment or replacement of 7 gas, water, or sewer structures; 727 feet Short-term Pavement Markings – Paint; 1,454 feet Short-term Pavement Markings – Tape; 416 SF Paint Pavement Marking – Letters and Symbols; 8,643 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 6”; 303 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 12”; 132 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 24” ; and all other necessary items and incidentals required to complete this project according to the plans and specifications.

Bids must be submitted to the Town Clerk in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Gregory Street Resurfacing” at the following location before the following date and time:

BID DUE TIME: 11:00 AM

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Bid Due Time in Office of the Town Clerk, 11 Uptown Circle, Normal, IL 61761

This is a prevailing-wage project.

Bid documents are available electronically from the Town of Normal website at http://www.normalil.gov/bids.aspx .

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Monday, March 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the One Uptown Conference Room, One Uptown Circle, 2 nd floor.
