The City of Fitchburg, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Fitchburg Public Schools Security & Surveillance Upgrades project, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by The Galante Architecture Studio, 146 Mount Auburn St, Cambridge, MA 02138 dated April 24, 2024, for all work associated with the upgrades to existing security system and installation of new comprehensive video surveillance, access control systems, throughout the School District; estimated construction cost $1,500,000.
General Contractor bids will be received until May 10th, 2024, at 2:00 PM at
www.biddocs.com.
General Contractor must be DCAMM certified in either Electrical or Electronic Security Systems.
A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total project is required. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful Bidder. Project is subject to compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the scope of work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder.

Complete sets of bidding documents shall be used in preparing bids; the City does not assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of bidding documents or for modifications to the bidding documents.
