This project will expand the Port of Nome and extend the West Causeway by approximately 3,500 linear feet into the Deep-Water Basin. The work includes 2000 feet of Open Cell Sheet Pile (OCSP) dock face, fender piles combined with floating fendering along the dock face, construction of fuel, water, sewer, electrical, and telecommunications system upgrades, and incidental related work. FAR 52.222-33 Applies to this project: Offerors are required to negotiate or become a party to a Project Labor Agreement and subcontractors are required to become a party to the resulting project labor agreement.

In order to assist certified Small Business and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises contractors and suppliers, where feasible Kiewit will divide items of work into smaller tasks or quantities which will permit maximum practicable opportunity of Small and Disadvantaged Businesses.

All subcontractors and material suppliers are required to execute our standard “Subcontract Agreement” or “Material Contract”. We require 100% Performance and Payment, or Supply Bonds. If you have questions regarding these contract agreements, please contact us for a copy. Kiewit will assist in obtaining bonding and lines of credit as required.
