Description:

*Addendum No. 1 - CP Expansion of Parking Lot and Site Improvements Project, Dated 4.25.24

The Work comprises, but is not limited to: Construction of two of Phase A parking lot expansion and miscellaneous site improvements as part of the base bid, and Phase B parking lot expansion as part of the alternate bid. Project scope includes mobilization, demolition, earthwork, grading, tree removal, hauling and disposal, removal and reconstruction of existing concrete and asphalt pavement, construction surveying and staking, construction of retaining walls, trash enclosures, electrical work and lighting, landscaping and irrigation, pavement resurfacing, and miscellaneous site improvements as indicated on the construction plans and specification.

*Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting/ Job Walk: Prospective bidders are required to attend a pre-bid meeting/ job walk which will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chino Hills Community Park, 3280 Eucalyptus Avenue, Chino Hills, CA 91709.

Digital sets of plans and specifications (on flash drive) will be mailed up to seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. (Note to Bidders: Prospective bidders must be listed in the City of Chino Hills Engineering Division's project Plans Holders List to ensure receipt of issued addendum, if any, prior to submitting bid). Qualifications:
The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A Contractor's license at the time of submitting bids. The minimum acceptable experience shall include direct responsibility for performing the necessary work. To be qualified, bidders must have completed a similar-type parking lot construction project for at least five (5) separate projects within the last three years (minimum of 30,000 square feet of contiguous area per project). Separate projects awarded under one contract may qualify as individual projects. Failure to meet the minimum qualification will render a bidder non-responsive.
Special Requirements:
10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. It shall be mandatory, upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established by the City Council as they apply to the work being performed. Said prevailing rates are available from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations website (***See link under Description).
