The City of Lincoln, hereinafter called Owner, is requesting proposals from qualified firms to submit proposal responses for the Salt Creek Flood Reduction Feasibility Study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the benefits and costs of different mitigation strategies, both non-structural and structural, to reduce flooding impacts to local businesses and residences in and adjacent to the Salt Creek floodplain in the City of Lincoln. This study will evaluate the feasibility of potential strategies to effectively reduce and mitigate current flood risk, as well as future flood risk based on climate change. Finally, this study will outline the necessary steps and challenges to fund and implement the recommended feasible strategies.
