    ADDENDUM #2
    to the PLANS and SPECIFICATIONS for the proposed:
    Chiller Replacement at:
    Franklin Park School & Franklin High School
    for the
    Franklin Township Board of Education
    Somerset County, New Jersey
    COMM. NO. 24-8971 & 24-8840
    This addendum is issued to all known bidders and consists of 2 Pages and the following:
    This addendum is issued for the purpose of amending certain requirements of the Contract Documents, and as noted hereinafter, and is
    hereby made an integral part of the Contract Documents for the above referenced project. Statements made herein shall amend, supersede
    and take precedence over any made in previously issued documents including previously issued addenda, if any. Unless specifically noted
    or specified hereinafter all work shall conform to the applicable provisions of the Contract Documents.
    ITEM #1:
    NO CHANGE IN BID TIME OR DATE
    A. Bids will be received up until 10:30 A.M. prevailing time, on, April 10, 2024 and then opened in the public at the
    Board of Education Administration Building – Building #2 at the 2301 Route 27, Somerset, New Jersey.
    B. The seven (7) day mandatory black-out period commences with the issuance of this Addendum; therefore, no
    further questions will be entertained in that no answers are permitted to be given. Bidders are advised to prepare
    their bids in accordance with the Plans, Specifications, and Addenda to date.
    ITEM #2:
    CLARIFICATIONS TO SPECIFICATIONS
    1. 230900.1 – Instrumentation and Control for HVAC
    a. Refer to section 1.2.A, revise to read “New controls work shall be an extension of the existing Automated
    Logic WebCTRL DDC System for all HVAC controlled equipment and systems within the scope of this
    project. ”.
    b. Refer to Section 1.2.B, revise to read “The following are approved control system suppliers, manufacturers,
    and product lines:

    ITEM #3:
    CLARIFICATIONS TO DRAWINGS – FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL
    1. M00: Mechanical General Notes and Symbols
    a. Refer to Mechanical General Notes, revise note #6 to read “ALL CONTROLS SHALL BE INTEGRATED INTO
    THE EXISTING BMS. ALL PROPOSED WORK WILL BE DONE ON THE EXISTING PLATFORM. (OWNER'S
    EXISTING CONTROL VENDOR IS AUTOMATED LOGIC, DEVIN BLOSS (551-224-6617).
    b. Refer to Piping Materials / Insulation Schedule, add note #3 to read “WHERE CUT-GROOVE FITTINGS ARE
    SPECIFIED, ROLLED-GROOVE FITTINGS ARE ALSO ACCEPTABLE. FOLLOW ALL MANUFACTURER
    INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS.
    2. M21: Mechanical Room Mechanical Plan
    a. Refer to General Plan Notes, revise note #6 to read “CONNECT ALL NEW WORK TO EXISTING AUTOMATED
    LOGIC CONTROLS BMS CONTROL PANEL IN MECHANICAL ROOM.
    b. Refer to Drawing Keyed Notes, revise keyed note #2 to read “REUSE EXISTING AUTOMATED LOGIC
    CONTROLS BMS PANEL. UPGRADE CONTROL MODULES AS REQUIRED TO ACCOMMODATE FOR NEW
    WORK.”
    c. Refer to Detail #1 Boiler Room – Mechanical Plan, revise note to read “EXISTING AUTOMATED LOGIC
    CONTROLS BMS PANEL.”
    3. M30: Mechanical Detail and Sequence of Operation
    a. Refer to Controls Scope of Work, revise to read “CONSULT OWNER'S CONTROL VENDOR PRIOR
    TO ANY PURCHASES INCLUDING DDC CONTROLLERS, THERMOSTATS, ETC. COORDINATE WITH
    OWNER'S CONTROL VENDOR FOR ALL WORK. BUILDING HAS EXISTING AUTOMATED LOGIC
    CONTROLS BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM. PROVIDE CHILLER PLANT DUAL TEMPERATURE
    WATER SYSTEM WITH DDC CONTROLLER AND ALL NECESSARY EQUIPMENT, END DEVICES, ETC.
    TO ACCOMPLISH THE SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS OUTLINED ON THIS DWG. PROVIDE
    ENCLOSURE AND MODIFY EXISTING CONTROLLER IN MECHANICAL ROOM.
    EXISTING OPERATOR WORKSTATION SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND
    GRAPHIC DISPLAYS TO READ EQUIPMENT STATUS, TEMPERATURES, ETC. OPERATOR SHALL
    HAVE THE ABILITY TO WRITE CHILLER PLANT TEMPERATURE SETPOINT AND ANY AVAILABLE
    POINTS (POINTS WITH WRITE CAPABILITY FROM CHILLER AND PUMPING SKID
    MANUFACTURER) TO EXISTING CONTROLLER VIA OPERATOR WORKSTATION.”
    b. Refer to Detail #4 Network Architecture
    i. Revise “existing Honeywell network controller” to read “EXISTING ALC NETWORK
    CONTROLLER
    ii. Revise “existing / new DDC Controller” to read “EXISTING DDC CONTROLLER.”
