Stormwater Spot Repairs 2024

The Town of Colchester is requesting separate sealed BIDS for the 2024 Stormwater Spot Repairs Project, which includes stormwater improvements at four locations in Colchester, VT. The summarized scope of work for each location is below. Full scopes of work, details, and plans are included in Appendix C of the contract documents.

1. Galvin Hill Rd Culvert: Replacement of approximately 32’ of an existing 24” HDPE stormwater culvert.
2. Lavigne Rd Drywell: Installation of a new stormwater drywell and site grading.
3. Fort Ethan Allen Catch Basin & Drywell: Replacement of an existing catch basin and drywell.
4. Laura Ln Stormwater Pond: Excavation of an existing stormwater pond, installation of stormwater outfall, and installation of a chain-link fence around perimeter of pond.

• An optional pre-bid meeting will be held at the Town of Colchester Town Office on Wednesday, April 10 ^th , 2024 at 11:00 am.
• Questions related to the bid package are due to Brett McCreary in writing by end of day on Thursday, April 11 ^th , 2024.
• An interpretation will be issued to prospective BIDDERS at the addresses given by them by Monday, April 15 ^th , 2024.
• Bids will be received by Brett McCreary, Environmental Engineering Technician at the Town of Colchester, 781 Blakely Road, Colchester, VT 05446 until 10:00 am. on Friday, April 19 ^th , 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

Each BID must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the OWNER for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. A BID bond may be used in lieu of a certified check.

A Performance BOND each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. (40 CFR §31.36(h))

All bidders must notify Brett McCreary on their intent to bid so they can be placed on a Bidders List to receive any issued addenda or other pertinent information.
