Bid Questions
Question What are the limits of the "Gravel Berm" called out on sheet 6 of the plans? Are we installing rock at the upper basin overflow only (18' wide) or is the entire upper basin to be made of gravel?
Answer

Rock berm shall be constructed between elevation 996 at the #1 on sheet 6. Length of rock berm shall be ± 45-feet.

Question The fill/storage area up the hill from the pond appears to require several thousand more cubic yards of fill over what is being pulled out of the pond. Are we to bring in additional fill material above and beyond what is coming out of the pond in order to shape this area to the contours shown?
Answer Proposed contours of dredge disposal area show maximum height of disposal pile. No additional fills are required.

Question Can excavated rock be left onsite?
Answer Per the plans, if rock is encountered, the Contractor shall contact the Engineer. Excavated rock is expected to remain on-site.

Question Where are we getting power from for the aerator?
Answer There is a 208-volt, single phase available for the new aerator. The power is located under the bridge.

Question What brand/model of aerator should be priced?
Answer Per Sheet 4 of the plans: “Aerator shall be a 2 hp, 208 volt with a minimum flowrate of 840 GPM Aqua Control Bottom Circulator with a Control Panel, or approved equal.”

Question What haul route should be taken for the material being removed on the west side of the pedestrian bridge?
Answer It is anticipated the Contractor use the haul route to the east of the bridge for all hauling activities. If an alternate haul route is proposed by the Contractor, utility protection and pavement restoration shall be considered and included in their bid.

Answer The CAD file for this project will only be made available to the awarded bidder, will be required to sign a Data Share Form provided by the consultant.
