Bid Questions
Question

It appears the Client is seeking an application that is already built and ready upon award, is the Client open to a custom built application?

Answer All responses will be accepted and reviewed based on the application's ability to meet desired RFP requirements and the ability to show ongoing support and development in Online Exhibits. Proof of concept would be requested and evaluated if the application meets the evaluation panel's criteria for a demonstration.

Question Is the client open to other COTS that provide an immersive museum experience that may diverge from the articulated / desired solution in technical implementation if the alternative COTS provides (what the evaluation panel deems to be) a higher quality user experience?

Question For accessibility, to meet WCAG AA standards, is the client open to the development of an alternative screen reader PDF document that is fully accessible with alt-tags on all images, while the main experience is fully within a 3D environment without alt tags (but with other accessible options, such as captions, dyslexic and large type font, etc…)?
Answer Most likely if there are no barriers to accessing the alternative screen reader from the main experience. Proof of concept would be requested and evaluated if the application meets the evaluation panel's criteria for a demonstration.

Question For accessibility, to meet WCAG AA standards, how do you anticipate meeting such standards when alt-tags cannot be embedded in 3D experiences?
Answer As a government agency, we are preparing for existing and anticipated standards for online applications and will review RFP responses based on the solution's level of ability to meet such standards. If there are alternate suggestions or ways in which standards cannot be fully met, JCPRD will accept that explanation.

Question Payment for membership would be handled outside the platform.
Answer That would be fine. The scenario we envisioned potentially using for members would be to lock down specific content on the online exhibit to members only.

Question We assume the integration with ACTIVENet (https://www.activenetwork.com/activenet) is what you are referring to for membership management.
