Legal Notice for Bids

GRAVES COUNTY FISCAL COURT(Owner) will receive proposals through CODELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (Construction Manager as Contractor) to furnish all labor and materials to complete the EARLY SITEWORK AND FOUNDATIONS FOR THE GRAVES COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING located at 100 EAST BROADWAY, MAYFIELD, KY 42066. Work is to be performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and addenda prepared by BRANDSTETTER CARROLL INC.(Architect), MARCUM ENGINEERING(M/E Engineer), and BFW ENGINEERING (Structural Engineer).

The Construction Manager as Contractor and Owner reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Construction Manager as Contractor and Owner can be served. Bid opening will be public, and contracts will be with the Construction Manager As Contractor.

Bids will be due by APRIL 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM CDT, and will be opened at GRAVES COUNTY FISCAL COURT, 1102 PARIS ROAD SUITE 6, MAYFIELD, KY 42066. Each bid must be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond. The bid will be submitted in duplicate on copies of the Form of Proposal located in the Volume One Project Manual Bidding and Contract Documents. Both copies of the Form of Proposal and Bid Bond shall be placed in a manila envelope and have the Project Name and Proposed Bid Package number affixed. No Bidder may withdraw a bid submitted for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

All questions related to the bidding documents should be directed to the Construction Manager as Contractor and the Architect.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for MARCH 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM CDT at 100 E. SOUTH STREET, MAYFIELD, KY 42066. All bidders are urged to attend this meeting.

The Project Schedule will be issued via addendum. The contract will include liquidated damages assessed at $1,750.00/day if the completion date is not met. Successful Bidders are required to furnish a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for this Project.

PUBLIC NOTICE

An ordinance amending the Graves County budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 to include unanticipated receipts from General, Road, Jail, LGEA, Emergency Management, ARL, Grant, Opioid Settlement, and Clerk Permeant Storage Fees Funding in the amount of $12,773,110.00 and increasing expenditures in the same areas was adopted by the Graves County Fiscal Court on June 26, 2023. A copy of the adopted ordinance with full text is available for public inspection at the office of the County Judge/Executive during normal business hours.
