Roofing Projects – East Chapel Hill High School

You are invited to bid on Roofing Projects – East Chapel Hill High School. The owner will receive bids for all
work providing General Construction trade work. Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools will be purchasing roofing
material directly from Garland/DBS through OMNIA Cooperative Purchasing. Bidding Contractors to provide all
labor, equipment, and complementary material to install East Chapel Hill High School. Bidders shall clearly indicate
on the outside of the bid envelope their name and North Carolina license number. It is intended that the general
contractor engage a properly qualified roofing trade within the scope of his bid, unless the contractor fulfills the
qualification of both classifications.

You are invited to bid on Roofing Projects – East Chapel Hill High School. The owner will receive bids for all

work providing General Construction trade work. Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools will be purchasing roofing

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will begin on site Monday April 29, 2024, 2:45 P.M. at East Chapel Hill High

School.

Sealed Bids will be received until 3:30 P.M. Friday May 3, 2024 at the following location:

General Contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be

observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General Contractors submitting bids on this project

must have a license classification for Building Contractor or (S)Roofing.

Under GS-87-1, a Contractor that superintends or manages construction of any building, highway, public

utility, grading, structure or improvement shall be deemed a General Contractor and shall be so licensed.

Therefore, a Single Prime project that involves other trades will require the Single Prime Contractor to hold

a proper General Contractor license.

The bidder shall identify on his bid proposal the minority business participation employed on the project,

utilizing the Identification of Minority Business Participation form, and shall include either Affidavit A or

Affidavit B as applicable. Forms are included within the Project Manual. Failure to submit these

documents is grounds for rejection of the bid in accordance with G.S. 143-128.2c.

Complete Bid Documents will be issued electronically after the mandatory pre-bid conference.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
