    ADDENDUM 002
    TO ALL CONTRACTORS:
    This Addendum is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents dated March 8, 2024.

    The following items shall be considered part of the contract documents and shall be included in the same
    when Construction Contract is executed. Changes made by Addenda shall take precedence over
    Original Documents. Any changes, which may affect construction or proper installation of materials,
    equipment or fixtures, not specifically mentioned in this addendum, shall be brought to the attention of
    Designer before submitting bid. Otherwise, such conditions, if found later to exist, must be worked out in
    an acceptable manner without additional cost to the Owner. Prime Contractors are hereby advised to call
    attention of all subcontractors to changes, which may affect their work.
    GENERAL
    GENERAL:
    1. The Contractor shall be responsible for moving all furniture from work areas to a temporary
    storage location on site as designated by the Owner and back to the original space upon
    completion of the work area, unless otherwise noted to be relocated to a different space.
    Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all components throughout the moves and
    responsible for replacement of any damaged furniture or components with equal and matching
    products. Contractor shall label all items to be relocated from their original space and shall
    document condition with photographs. Should Contractor encounter any existing damage, this
    shall be noted prior to relocating the item from the space.
    2. Contractor shall notify the Architect and coordinate with the Owner for content manipulation or
    relocation of any computer equipment or IT related items. This includes classroom content such
    as Robotics components.
    3. Summer Camp Schedule – Contractor is to be aware that there will be several summer camps
    with student attendance hosted at the project site. Contractor is to keep all construction areas
    properly secured and separated from students at all times, throughout the duration of
    construction. Please see below for dates of summer camps provided by the owner:
    Vex Robotics Camp: June 3 thru 7
    AI Energy Camp: June 10 thru 14
    Careers in STEM Camp; June 10 thru 14
    Future Engineers Camp: June 17 thru 21
    NASA Astro Camp: July 22 thru 26
    Contractor will be required to coordinate with owner’s representatives during construction to
    account for summer camp student activities.
    4. The Owner has released a separate project for bid for the asbestos abatement for Lake Charles
    Boston School. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner’s Selected Abatement Contractor
    throughout construction to ensure no schedule conflicts and safety of all construction personnel.

    RFIS
    1. Question: Sheet A402 not included with drawings
    Answer: There is no Sheet A402 in the Drawings. References to this sheet have been removed.
    2. Question: Sheet A151.C - Note R42 - Note mentions to demo to Tectum and Gyp Deck, which
    deck type is existing?
    Answer: The location for Note R42 is an existing Tectum Deck.
    3. Question: New door hardware to be specified, Door A140 removed from scope Sheet / no
    hardware spec section.
    Answer: The Door Hardware Specification 08 7100 is attached with this Addendum.
    4. Question: There is a Spec Section for Flagpole but cannot find its location on Drawings.
    Answer: The flag pole is no longer in the scope of the project. Delete Flagpole spec.
    5. Question: Sheet S100 - Detail B - Which metal wall panel system is this referring to?
    Answer: The material should be the Kal Wall System. Refer to Architectural wall sections for this
    location.
    6. Question: Could you provide ceiling heights on the RCP Drawings?
    Answer: See attached revised sheets.
    7. Question: Note A07 on Architectural Drawings says to paint wall section, will the entire room
    need to be painted or only the walls indicated by the arrows for note A07?
    Answer: Only the walls indicated by the arrows for Note A07 shall receive the new painted finish.
    8. Question: Sheet A101.B - Note A51 - Is the contractor responsible for storage or will the items be
    turned over to owner for storage?
    Answer: The Owner will provide a location on site to store the furniture, however the Contractor
    shall be responsible for the relocation of the furniture from Building F to the temporary storage
    location and back as indicated in Note A51.
    9. Question: Is the contractor responsible for storage of the disassembled bleacher system while the
    gym floor is being installed?
    Answer: Yes, it shall be the Contractor’s means and methods on whether the bleacher
    components can remain within the Gym during the flooring installation or whether they feel they
    should be removed from the space and stored separately. Should they be removed, Contractor
    shall provide secured and insured space for storage.
    10. Question: Clarification: Should our base bid price include the demo and replacement of the metal
    decks as noted in the drawings and the unit price is in place in the event of more or less being
    required?
    Answer: Yes
    11. Question: Clarification: All unit price descriptions note that they are to be provided in base bid.
    Are we to total the sum of all 4 unit price extensions and add them to our base bid total?
    Answer: Yes, all unit price extensions shall be included in the total base bid on the bid form.
    12. Question: Is there a specific size, quantity, and style of benches the customer is looking for?
    What kind of hydroponic system is the customer looking for?
    Answer: The hydroponic system is removed from the scope of work. The benches for the
    greenhouse shall also be removed from the scope of work.
    13. Question: Can we get a spec on the greenhouse hydroponic system? What type of system is
    to be used?
    Answer: The hydroponic system is removed from the scope of work.

    14. Question: Can we get a spec of clarification on the type of benches required in the
    greenhouse? Sizing? Quantity?
    Answer: The benches for the greenhouse shall be removed from the scope of work.
    15. Question: We have not seen an addendum with the pre-scheduled dates and times for site
    visits, being that today is the last day for RFIs will we be able to send RFIs discovered during
    the site visits?
    Answer: See Addendum 1 which provided dates for bidders to visit the site. Additional contractor
    visits outside of these pre-scheduled times may be coordinated with the Owners staff at the front
    desk, pending there is no interruption to campus operations.
    16. Question: Note S07 on sheet AS100 states greenhouse will require perimeter footing, however
    there is a drawing sheet for the greenhouse foundation including a slab, will the greenhouse
    require only a perimeter footing or the entire foundation in the drawings?
    Answer: The greenhouse shall have an entire slab as detailed on Sheet S102.
    17. Question: The owner's abatement contractor mentioned in the Pre Bid that a portion of his
    scope would be added to this project. Can we get a clarification on which portion? Will any
    abatement be required in the bid for this project?
    Answer: The abatement scope is being bid separately from this scope of work.
    18. Question: Will there be any additional steel support required for the translucent wall panels to
    be installed on the library?
    Answer: Translucent wall panels are to be installed as required by the manufacturer’s written
    requirements.
    19. Question: Will the repointing of the glass block system be required on interior and exterior of
    each location noted on the elevation drawings?
    Answer: Extents of repointing shall be as required by the glass block manufacturer’s written
    requirements.
