Description
VAMC St Louis Jefferson Barracks Division has an urgent need for a contractor to complete the list of 35 items as many of the items have an impact to patient /employee health, patient/employee safety, and equipment operation life cycle because of potential overwhelming contamination interior and exterior debris. These items are to be completed at the Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center located throughout the entire property at 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St Louis, MO, 63125. These items will improve the existing facilities, eliminate the need for many future maintenance projects and more importantly prevent patient, visitor, and staff injury and maintain safe service to the VA patients while avoiding prolonged delays and extending further risks to VA personnel and facility equipment.
Randy Kinder Excavating (RKE), Inc. of Dexter, MO, a VIP certified SDVOSB, is proposed to perform the scope of work under this justification. Upon receiving the recommendation of the VAMC in St Louis, MO, the Contracting Officer confirmed RKE's interest and availability to perform. The Contracting Officer has reviewed RKE's technical solution to complete the scope of work, resources available, management qualifications, laborers available, and proposed demolition schedule. The Contracting Officer concludes that RKE is capable of performing the scope of work under this justification immediately upon receipt of award, with highly capable management and laborers, and executed with a priority for the safety of all personnel involved and the adjacent community.
