Description
The St. Louis Jefferson Barracks Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) requires the completion of approximately 38 work items across its property, located at 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St. Louis, MO, 63125.
This project is designed to enhance existing facilities, minimize future maintenance requirements, and, most importantly, ensure the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. By addressing these critical needs, the project aims to prevent injuries, maintain uninterrupted service to VA patients, and reduce risks to personnel and facility equipment.
The primary objective is to execute essential construction tasks across multiple areas of the Jefferson Barracks campus under the oversight and coordination of a general contractor. The scope of work includes replacing damaged wall coverings in the indoor rehabilitation pool, installing handrails and toe rails overlooked during a prior sitework project, mitigating safety risks for patients and staff, milling and overlaying a significant portion of the campus asphalt access road near the west campus improvements, replacing outdated sidewalk lighting with modern fixtures incorporating photocell controls, providing electrical service to steam manholes, and completing several additional smaller construction tasks.
The detailed Statement of Work (SOW) is organized into three separate documents: SOW Work Items 1-14, SOW Work Items 15-27, and SOW Work Items 28-38.
