Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk Contracting Department, Norfolk VA, 23511-3392, intends to award a Firm-Fixed price contract in support of Navy Expeditionary and Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG). This acquisition will be conducted using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services; and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Please see attachments for further information. The associated NAICS code is 811310 with a small business size standard of $12,500,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
This requirement is to provide support by proof testing and certifying fourteen (14) vehicle lifting assemblies in accordance with customer requirements. The government will be responsible for delivery and pickup of the material at Contractor’s location.
Each assembly consists of (2) 9-5’ telescopic beams, (1) flounder/tow plate, (1) 2-1/2” 85T nut and bolt shackle, (2) 35T ‘Sling Saver” shackles, (8) 1-1/2” nut and bolt shackles, (4) 5’ eye-to-hook wire rope slings, (4) 10’ eye-to-eye wire rope slings, (4) 10’ eye-to-hook wire rope slings, and (4) 20’ eye-to-eye wire rope slings.
Contractor must provide certification proving that the pull test was performed, and tag each piece of the asseembly with one serial number unique to that assembly. The pieces of each assembly have to be rigged together and proof tested as a unit.Testing will be at 125% of rated capacity in accordance with NAVFAC P-307 requirments.
Upon Completion the NAVELSG point of contact will be notified to pickup assemblies from Contractor’s location.
In the event that one or several of these assemblies fail, the box that the particular assembly is transported in should be tagged in some way stating that the asset has failed it’s proof test. Even if one or several of the assemblies fail, they will still be transported back to Cheatham Annex where the government will then process them for disposal.
