FIBER OPTIC CONDUIT AND CABLE

Project Description: The City of Meridian is requesting bids for the Installation of approximately 13,346 linear feet of 2” fiber optic conduit and fiber optic cable. Installation will occur at six separate sites throughout the City of Meridian and will include connection points at four separate City of Meridian facilities. The bid will have an option for currently in-place conduit. The City will consider bids that include the use of existing empty conduit owned by the bidder, in combination with newly installed conduit, to meet the total required footage. The total linear footage required is 13,346 feet. Bidders shall clearly identify the quantity, location, and condition of any existing conduit proposed for use, and include a purchase price for such conduit as part of their bid. Any existing conduit bid must be free of fiber, debris, and damage, be in good structural condition (not excessively aged, brittle, or compromised by root intrusion), include a functioning locate wire, and must be rerouted to an alternative junction box if the existing junction box will not be part of the sale.
BIDDER MUST LIST THE QUANTITY OF NEW AND PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED CONDUIT ON THE BID TABLE. TOTAL QUANTITY MUST EQUAL 13,346 FEET.
