Triton Mobile Forward Operating Base (M-FOB)

SYNOPSIS - NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirement for a 15-day notification. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Naval Air Warfare Command – Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) intends to issue a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) performance based completion type delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N0042123G0005 to Dayton T. Brown, Inc., 1175 Church Street, Bohemia, NY 11716, for providing one (1) Triton Mobile Forward Operating Base (M-FOB).

REQUIREMENTS:

Per the Statement of Work (SOW), this contract will result in the delivery of a single M-FOB System. The M-FOB shall be based on the existing United States Navy PMA-262 M-FOB. The delivery of the M-FOB shall include all required support equipment and aircraft loading and unloading equipment, contractor support during initial set up and Government functional systems testing, contractor maintenance support services and spares during the course of Government functional testing, one set of initial spares at the conclusion of the Government functional testing, and delivery and execution of Acceptance and Test Procedures for the M-FOB enclosure and infrastructure to demonstrate compliance with the final approval specification.

This notice is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for quotes or request for information. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government and is based on an approval to utilize the authority under FAR 8.405-6(b).

This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ‘Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.’ A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
