The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Reconditioning Center (NRC), is seeking quotations from qualified small business vendors for the repair and reconditioning of 25 DC Servo Motors, NWS/ROC Part Number 2200220-201, ASN: R400-2A1A1B1.
This acquisition will be 100% set aside for small business under FAR Part 13 and awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis. The repaired motors will support the sustainment of operational radar equipment across the NWS enterprise.
As part of this requirement, the Government will furnish 25 motors. An initial batch of five (5) motors will be shipped to the awardee. The contractor shall repair and return one (1) motor for first article inspection. The remaining four (4) motors will be held by the contractor until written first article approval is issued. Upon acceptance, the Government will ship the remaining twenty (20) motors to complete the full repair quantity.
The Government's desired delivery schedule is 60 calendar days for the first article unit and 180 calendar days for the remaining 24 units from the date of first article approval.
The contractor shall ensure the repaired motors are packaged in containers that meet the requirements for shock, vibration, and handling protection during shipment by air, ground, or freight. All packaging must prevent physical, electrical, mechanical, or cosmetic damage and ensure no loss in performance capability.
Only vendors capable of performing the repair and reconditioning of the specified DC Servo Motor in accordance with the Government’s technical documentation will be considered responsive.
READ CAREFULLY: Offers that do not address Instructions to Offerors may be deemed non-compliant.
The government requires all contractors doing business with the government to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time the quote is submitted. For additional information and to register in SAM, please visit www.sam.gov. Award will not be made to any contractor that is not registered in SAM.
