IFB 40780 - LGCA Fill Road No 2 Timber Sale

This timber sale is a combination of marked thinning and logger-select thinning located within slash pine plantations that were established in 1986, and previously thinned in 2008. The marked portion of the sale area is approximately 71.3 acres, and trees for harvest are marked with blue paint at eye level. The logger-select area is 11.7 acres and timber to be harvested is based on the following criteria: diseased, defective, and suppressed trees shall be harvested first, followed by a portion of the intermediate and co-dominant trees to reach the desired basal area range of 45 to 50 square feet per acre. The District estimates the volume of timber conveyed in this Agreement to be 826 tons of pine pulpwood, 569 tons of chip-n-saw (CNS), but there is no guarantee that the volume is present.
