RFP On Call Fire Alarm Inspection and Monitoring Services

The City of Alameda (“City”) will accept sealed proposals for its On Call Fire Alarm System Inspection and Monitoring Services.

The bid opening date is Tuesday, April 1, 2025. All bids are due no later than 2:00 p.m. to the City of Alameda, Base Reuse and Economic Development Department, 950 West Mall Square, Suite 205, Alameda. The bid opening time is 2:45 p.m.

Project Summary

The City is responsible for operation and maintenance of leased, owned and vacant buildings throughout Alameda. The Base Reuse and Economic Development Department is looking for a contractor to assist with as-needed, scheduled and emergency maintenance, repair, system monitoring and/or inspections of existing fire alarm systems in City-owned or controlled property at Alameda Point and other select locations throughout Alameda. The term of the contract will not exceed 5 years.

The selected Contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, transportation, labor, and materials to perform all work authorized under this agreement. All work performed and equipment and parts supplied by the Contractor shall be subject to inspection and approval of the Project Manager or designee.

Proposers may bid on any or all of the following services:

  • Scheduled Repair Services
  • Emergency Repair Services
  • Fire Alarm Monitoring Services

Plans, Specifications, Forms, Contract Documents, and Addenda

Printed and electronic copies of the plans, specifications, and contract documents including the Project Manual, and/or any issued addenda may be obtained from BPX Printing & Graphics located at 4903 Central Avenue, Richmond, CA 94804 for a non-refundable cost of $20 per set, exclusive of shipping and handling. Copies of the documents may be viewed and downloaded, or copies can be ordered at https://www.alamedaplanroom.com/ or by contacting BPX at (510) 559-8299 or at Richmond@bpxprinting.com . Please contact BPX for ordering or downloading questions. To ensure receipt of any subsequent communications (e.g., an Addenda), each prospective bidder is responsible acknowledging receipt of each Addenda on the Bid Proposal to the City of Alameda form submitted with the bid package.
