Description


The City of Emerson, Georgia is soliciting sealed bids for the Old Alabama Road Drainage Improvements project. Bids will be received at Emerson City Hall, Attn. Kevin McBurnett, City Manager, 700 Highway 293, Emerson, GA 30137, until 10:00 a.m. local time on February 9, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project generally includes installation of approximately 425 linear feet of 18-inch reinforced concrete storm sewer, along with associated manholes, inlets, end sections, rip rap, bituminous paving, earthwork, erosion and sedimentation control, utility coordination, and restoration. The work includes construction near existing utilities and within a tributary draining to the Etowah River/Lake Allatoona system. A GDOT access permit has been approved for work at the intersection with Highway 293. The contractor will be responsible for field verification, potholing of utilities, and providing as-built drawings at project completion.

The project shall be substantially complete within 75 calendar days and finally complete within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

A 5% Bid Bond is required. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, maintain required insurance coverage, hold a valid Georgia contractor¿s license, comply with state and federal work authorization requirements, and provide applicable business licensing documentation.

Questions must be submitted in writing to CTI Engineers no later than 3:00 p.m. on January 26, 2026.
