RFI for Sources Sought IAW FAR 5.203
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This RFI is to identify any sources that have the capability to satisfy the following requirements to maintain the Robot Dogs located at Tyndall AFB, FL 32403:
1.Provide all software updates, full hardware coverage, priority maintenance (including allshipping), and preventative maintenance (every 4,000 walk hours or per revisedschedule). Excludes 3rd party devices such as payload sensors and manipulators. These are maintained via manufacturer warranty.
Currently, the Government has determined that only one source is capable of providing the maintenance of Robotic Dogs. The maintenance is for the original equipment manufacture products maintenance of Robotic Dogs that are not mass produced. The manufacturer is a small business and does not have resellers of the maintenance package, SKU MC-VS60Y01. And as this is an exclusive licensing agreement for the maintenance package and is only sold by a single source.
Market research was conducted to identify any other available sources. Specifically, the company was asked if they have any resellers or if there is any other means of obtaining the maintenance. The company stated they are the single source for the maintenance package. For this reason, it is paramount to sole source the subject project to Ghost Robotics to ensure the Robotic Dogs are provided with all the software updates, full hardware, priority, and preventative maintenance required.
This RFI/solicitation follows the prescription and guidance IAW FAR 52.232-18 - Availability of Funds.
Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
