The City of Pocatello is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for West Bench Wildfire Fuel Mitigation.
Bidders can mail or hand-deliver the completed City of Pocatello bid forms. Bids can be mailed or delivered to: City of Pocatello, Attn: Planning & Development Services Department, “West Bench Wildfire Fuel Mitigation” 911 N. 7th Avenue, Pocatello, ID 83201.
NOTE: The Bid Price Sheets must be filled out completely, signed and returned in a sealed bid package. A bid may be considered non-responsive if the Bid Price Sheets are incomplete or not sealed. Bidders may complete the forms for all or some of the Units. Bidders are not required to bid on all Units to be considered responsive.
Section 3, minority- and women-owned businesses are especially encouraged to apply, as are businesses located within the City’s municipal boundaries. The City of Pocatello offers a preference for documented Section 3 businesses or individuals on this project. This project is funded through the US Forest Service Western States Fire Managers (WSFM) grant.
SITE VISIT: A site visit is scheduled for October 30, 2025 at 11 AM MT at the end of Lupine Drive, Pocatello ID. The site visit is required. Contractors unable to attend the site visit will be unable to bid on the project.
BONDING: All bids shall be accompanied by a guarantee equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount. This guarantee may be in the form of a bond, certified check or other negotiable instrument. Bid bonds will be accompanied by power of attorney bearing the same date as the bond.
Fill out all line items on required pages. Bid must be good for 90 days. The City will select the most responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total price for the option it deems in the best interest of the City. The City may also take into consideration the bidder’s capacity to complete the project in a timely manner, and past performance of the bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Contractors will be notified of the award by email or phone. The contractor selected will be notified of the date and time set for the required preconstruction conference and contract signing. All permits, labor and materials costs must be included in bid. The successful bidder shall have five (5) business days from being notified that they are the successful bidder, in which to provide evidence of current bonding, licensing and worker’s compensation.
