NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to award a
sole source, firm fixed price contract to GE Healthcare, 3000 N. Grandview BLVD
Waukesha, WI 53188 for the Datex Ohmeda anesthesia preventative maintenance service for the Fayetteville VAMC located at 2300 Ramsey St., NC 28301. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the authorized service provider of the Datex Ohmeda system and all associated products and service maintenance. Using any other supplier would result in duplicated costs that would not be recovered through competition.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research has determined that these items can only be obtained from a single source without an unacceptable duplication of cost or delay in the continuity of patient care. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted.
However, any business that believes it can provide the Datex Ohmeda anesthesia preventative maintenance service may give written notice to lakeva.cousins@va.gov, and cc stephanie.mcelmore@va.gov, by 10:00am EDT on November 21, 2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Interested and capable respondents are requested to provide the information below.
All responses to this notice shall include: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, System for Award (SAMs) Unique Entity Id Number (UEI), manufacturer authorization letter, authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller documentation.
Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government
not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the
discretion of the Government.
