The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Library of Congress (Library) requires contract support for our Holiday Tree needs. The Library of Congress Holiday Tree holds significant importance in the yearly celebrations of the Capitol Hill complex. The origins of this tradition can be traced back to the early years of the Jefferson building.
This decades-old tradition is not only a remarkable Logistics Services achievement but also a testament to the richness of history and symbolism it carries. Notably, the decorations adorning the tree are handcrafted by state libraries, imbuing the tree with a sense of library community and delight. It serves as a meaningful representation of the holiday spirit shared by both the Library of Congress and the Capitol Complex visitors.
